Badi Chaupar is the point of intersection of major streets that have been, and continue to be, the shopping hub for weddings, festivals & every celebration, as it is the perfect place to get traditional Indian women's attire like sarees, suits, lehengas and the finest jewellery.

During the walk, you will come across local jewellers who have been trusted by families for many generations. You may be fascinated by their shop arrangements, their way of doing business and the safe places where they keep valuable metals & stones. Continuing ahead, we take a look at the narrow lanes of the local textile markets, which meet the needs of almost every citizen of Jaipur. Further on, we might also explore the bustling lane for precious & semi-precious stones, where we can marvel at the local trading by dealers & jewellers. By entering these lanes, you will realise how massive the market is and why the Pink City is called the "Gem Capital of India". Almost every resident of the old walled city is connected with Jaipur's jewellery, directly or indirectly.

From there, we move ahead to explore the "brass & copper merchants' lanes", followed by the "printers of Jaipur", in a small cluster of bustling streets. These artisans are known for making artefacts that are mostly used in temples as adornments and as basic utensils for worship. Besides, the "printing press" is another dominant profession in the city, where family-run businesses make almost everything out of paper, and wedding invitations are the best amongst them. Taking our walk ahead, you will also admire the fascinating art of crafting fine bangles in surprising colours & designs with lac resin.
