The Story

Why This Experience Exists

Long before roads connected the hills of Amber, these winding trails carried kings, soldiers, priests, and pilgrims across a kingdom protected by forests, watchtowers, and towering fortifications.

Today, much of that landscape has quietly disappeared from the maps of modern travellers.

The Lost Kingdom invites you to leave the familiar monuments behind and step into the untouched wilderness that once formed the outer heart of the Kingdom of Amber. Following ancient pathways through the Aravalli Hills, this immersive hiking experience uncovers hidden shrines, forgotten ruins, abandoned defensive structures, and breathtaking viewpoints that reveal a side of Jaipur few visitors ever imagine exists.

As you journey through forests, rocky ridges, and peaceful valleys, you'll discover how nature has slowly reclaimed places that once echoed with the footsteps of royalty, warriors, and wandering ascetics. Along the way, stories of forgotten temples, sacred landscapes, military strategy, and local legends breathe new life into the stones that remain.

This is not simply a hike.

It is an expedition through a kingdom that history almost forgot — where every trail leads to another story, every ruin sparks the imagination, and every summit offers a new perspective on the remarkable legacy of Amber.

Some kingdoms are preserved behind palace walls. Others are waiting to be rediscovered beneath open skies.

A Note From the Curator

I stumbled upon these trails years ago while following a local shepherd. What I found above Amber — the fallen towers, the wild landscape, the absolute silence — felt like a secret the city had been keeping. The Lost Kingdom exists to share that secret.
